Broholm Castle

Interesting castle

Liked: Location and surroundings.
Disliked: Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night, there were no staff to call, I had to deal with the firemen. Breakfast and dinner options were quite costly, could have been good with more cost efficient alternatives. Living rooms were missing good lighting to make it cozy and would have been good with some board and card games to borrow.

Exceptional

Experience some Danish history.

Liked: Peaceful, calm surroundings and an elegant castle and grounds. Great food - excellent quality breakfast and evening meal. Kind and friendly staff.
Disliked: Rather expensive - but I guess you expect to pay for history and things in Denmark are more expensive. Minor things - over-bath shower not really usable and no foot towels.

Liked: What’s not to love about staying at a castle. What a special experience for this Aussie.My great Danish mate recommended we stay at the castle & we loved it. What a special experience. The staff were all so knowledgeable & absolutely lovely. Thanks team!As for dinner, the food was delicious & many thanks to the F&B team for a great dining experience & that wine….we loved it.I would recommend Broholm Slot/castle.

Fairy tale stay in an...

Liked: An amazing stay in one of the tower rooms of Broholm castle. The staff was accommodating and welcoming; as a guest one has run of the entire castle, including the old rooms of the Chamberlain. An extraordinary experience—a cold beer sitting in the shade looking out over the moat is unforgettable. Wonderful breakfast with fresh local produce and good drip coffee.
Disliked: The room was a bit warm (no fan).

Wonderful place to stay to...

Liked: This is a wonderful place to say! I highly recommend it! Stay around for dinner too. It was quite nice with the chef using local delicacies. You’ll be living in a real castle. There is a Castle museum, as well as rowboats in the surrounding wetlands and very beautiful natural surrounding with swans and ducks and great nature! The rooms are quite comfortable!!
Disliked: There are some modernities that are lacking, like a/c and elevators. But this only adds to the charm :)

Outstanding

Liked: It is a beautiful property- the grounds are gorgeous - loved the lavender - the museum was very interesting- the staff went out of their way - the dining room is very elegant and the food (dinner & breakfast) were delicious
