Liked: Quirky and interesting. Staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Food was very good, well presented and served, tasty!
Disliked: Mattress could be more supportive

Peaceful relaxing stay in lovely...

Liked: Location. Lovely views from our room. Staff very polite and helpful. Lovely food. Peaceful.
Disliked: Only very minor points: due to property’s age the two tables that we were allocated in the breakfast room were unsteady with wedges stuck underneath the table legs. The smaller tables were also quite close together. Also, at breakfast, the same items on the menu over our two night stay were different in quality on both mornings.

Liked: Majority of staff were warm, efficient and friendly, particularly the breakfast service staff.Liked the decor of the hotel and beautiful garden areas- loved the gypsy caravans!
Disliked: We arrived a few hours before check in so thought we would leave bags. The woman on reception did not greet us with a smile, did not offer to take our luggage although said we could leave it and pointed to a room off reception. No smile or welcome really made us doubt whether this would be a good stay (this was about 1pm on 30th April).Beds were too soft for both of us but I appreciate we all like different beds!

Liked: Very quirky, loved the decor, food excellent and staff friendly
Disliked: Our room, noisy with bins close, bottles crashing into bins, bin lorry early in morning and cars coming and going dragging cases.

Exceptional

Lovely ambience but a disappointing...

Liked: Brockley Hall has a tasteful yet quirky ambience particularly in the reception, restaurant and bar. The location is beautiful we love saltburn. The staff in the restaurant were also helpful.
Disliked: The room was right next to the car park and on the same level, we felt very overlooked and had to keep the curtains drawn and windows closed.We were also disappointed that the restaurant did not have the more interesting a la carte menu available. The alternative brasserie menu is quite basic. Overall just not as special as we had hoped. I used to live in Saltburn and we were excited for our trip and expecting a more “boutique” experience.
