A great stay in tranquil...

Liked: The location of the property in Brockenhurst is beautiful; very quiet and opposite New Forest land and ponies. John is a most welcoming host and the breakfast each morning was generous and graciously served in the dining room. Our room was at the top of the house and had an adjoining lounge area.

Nice owner but wouldn't recommend...

Liked: Plenty of space & accommodating host. Location lovely.
Disliked: Poor cleanliness - bedding had stains/marks. Owner a heavy smoker so the property stank of smoke.

Superb

Liked: Beautiful setting. Just outside Brockenhurst. It was great to walk into town. It was lovely to have a bath as well as a shower. Pre visiting owner asked lots to ensure our stay was to our liking.
Disliked: Bed not to our liking too hard

Lovely place and lovely host.

Liked: John was a delightful host, helpful, funny and friendly. Self contained two bed flat was comfortable and spacious. Parking was just outside, on the private road, and was safe and convenient. Good options for breakfast.
Disliked: Nothing- all was fine.

Great host , great room,...

Liked: The house is an old mansion with guest accommodation in 2 suites. One on the first floor and one on the second. Access is by stairs (so be aware have suitable luggage) We had the top floor suite, separate bedroom our own bathroom (shower in bath) and a separate sitting room with TV. Very comfortable and good value.Only comment against is make sure you check and read properly the directions you are given. The road has 2 ends and is a dead end rd. Does not go through. Once we located correct end of road it was easier to locate the house, however signage could be better only a sign over the front veranda. The owner John is great and his dog ( Quinton) very friendly. We love dogs and he greeted us every time we came downstairs or came in from being out, John does keep him behind a gate so unless you react favourably Quinton will not bother you.Highly recommend place to stay if visiting this area. Very central and close to all the villages in the New Forest.
