Broad Street Townhouse

Beautiful design, comfy, great location.

Liked: Gorgeous design and comfortable bed. I love the local branded toiletries and the luxury refreshments in the room. Plenty of fans for the hot weather. The breakfast served downstairs in the coffee shop was one of the best I’ve had.
Disliked: I got several emails ahead of checking in mentioning the option to have a breakfast basket delivered in the morning, but when I arrived I was told they don’t do it anymore. There was no milk in the room to have with the lovely tea bags. Strangely I also found I missed having a bin in the room.

Liked: The Broad Street Townhouse/ Pig & Fiddle’s location is ideal for visits to Bath and only a stone’s throw from all the shops. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good & a great choice of dishes to choose from. Really friendly staff overall!
Disliked: Our room was quite warm and therefore had a massive ‘fan’ with a tube hanging out of the window. The window could not be opened at night as the tube would otherwise slipped into the room. It was also too noisy to keep on at night.

Beautiful Hotel with little catch

Liked: The room itself was stunning exactly what we expected. Beautifully decorated with nice amenities. The location was also spot on being right in the centre and close to a car park.
Disliked: The room was extremely stuffy and very hot despite the temperature being much cooler outside. I understand this is not preventable given we were on the top floor and it is an old building. But I feel at least the window should be able to be opened fully, there was a safety catch on ours. This made the room uncomfortable to be in. I'd also like to mention that breakfast was very good although we did wait a very long time for our food to arrive. And I was a bit disappointed there was no granola left.

Liked: Lovely old town house, prime area of Bath very central for everything.Very smart eating area has adjacent pub and coffee shop.
Disliked: Very hot room, fans were provided no cake left out as indicated in description. You have £16 for Breakfast to choose from menu. Very steep stairs to rooms.

Hot, small and overpriced :...

Liked: Nice location. Nice decoration.
Disliked: Very small room (the bed itself takes 3/4 of the space of the "standard room"), very hot and damp with a noisy fan even when outside was around 18-20°C. It felt like 30°C in the room, even at the first floor on a cloudy day!The window opens for some centimeters to the back of the pub with noisy and smelly kitchen extractors. The breakfast is taken in the pub that still smells the beer from the previous night on sticky tables. Not the cosy experience you would guess from the pictures...It's fine for one hitchhiker night but not at this price (we paid 220 pounds for the night). Paying around 80 pounds would be have been a more appropriate price for the kind of prestation we got here here, which is not saved by a trendy decoration that gives nice but misleading pictures.
