Paid £35 online for a Sunday night. The reviews for this hotel were terrible but we seem to have gotten lucky. The fact it was a Sunday meant it was way cheaper and pretty empty. The rooms are shabby but I paid £35. I wasn't expecting much. I'd stay again for a cheap night when you're not going to be spending too much time in the hotel. 9 minutes from the Ritz and 10 minutes from city park, which you get discounted parking through the hotel reception. You get what you pay for.

Liked: Friendly staff. Cheap. Great location.
Disliked: Tropical heat in the bedroom and the phone going off all night.

Friendly staff and great location but I think perhaps we got what we paid for. Keeping in mind I have an 8 month old child at home, this was by far the worst night's sleep I have experienced in over a year! Not quite the comfortable, peaceful night I was hoping for! As long as you don't want to sleep, the hotel is great as a base, but avoid breakfast at all costs!

Disliked: Bed was rock hard; breakfast was very unpleasant.

Liked: The staff was very welcoming and warm,helpful. Also at breakfast time all the staff was very nice and smiling.
Disliked: The cleaning wasn't bad, I guess cleaners got lots of rooms to clean, so it's not their fault. No phone in the room and WiFi on the welcoming card were different from the used ones.
