Britannia Adelphi Hotel

Hotel is 5 minute walk from Liverpool Central and Lime Street. It's in the heart of the city with loads going on and fantastic shopping centres. 2 bars and a restaurant on site and staff very welcoming, friendly and efficient.

Liked: Fantastic location right in the heart of the city. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic but clean and comfy, plus on site bars and restaurants. Lots going on at the hotel but very efficient.
Disliked: No bad points.

Liked: The location is great.
Disliked: We booked at the last minute and didn't realise it was Beatles week. At one point we couldn't use facilities because we needed a wristband, which we were not told about on check in. The bed was very uncomfortable, only supplied with one pillow which was very flat. The headboard wasn't attached to the bed, I had to put my shoe in between the board and bed to keep it secure. No remote for the tv, not cleaned properly found crisps under the dressing table. Wallpaper falling off the wall and carpet ripped in places.

Disliked: Paid for breakfast on arrival but couldn’t get in as queues were massive … on checking out there was no apology or refund. Room very dated

Liked: Convenient place to get any where. Staff was helpful they changed our room because there was not normal watercoming in shower sp they changed it quick once we told them to change.
Disliked: Smell in the room. It was non smoking room but still the room smells weird. Very limited options for vegetarian guests for breakfast

Disliked: Bathroom facilities poor had same problem last shower taps came off causing water to gus out had too turn off water from mains and missed breakfast told staff at the counter and it was like ok well send someone out the inconvenience didn't seem to matter

Disliked: On arrival, The reception staff were miserable, my 60-year-old mother was told to get her suitcase from the storeroom and take it up the stairs herself, the whole hotel is completely outdated with mismatched furniture, cracks on the wall walls and ceilings with watermarks, toilet made a loud noise when flushing, the security on the front of the main entrance had all their rubbish and empty drinks piled in the corners, I couldn’t even order a coffee from anywhere so I had to leave the actual hotel and walk to buy one! The mattresses are extremely thin and you can feel every single spring. The only polite staff were the cleaners and bar staff. The hotel reception looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years and outside the hotel was absolutely disgusting. It smelt of beer and there were cigarettes everywhere. The morning after the cigarettes had just been swept to the side on the path.
