Convenient, well located hotel

Room fine, don't bother with...
Liked: Very easy access from airport - 1 tram stop and it is right opposite hotel. Room smallish but perfectly adequate for one night, bedding decent quality and comfy bed. Shower room smart and functional. Checked in at 23.00 and guy on desk very polite and helpful.
Disliked: Breakfast- total rip-off at over 16 euros. Very little choice of anything hot, no cereal, poor quality coffee from machine and no sign of any staff. If you are flying out from airport, pricey though it may be, my advice would be to get breakfast there, or better still, find a local café (or go to Mercure, who do a very good breakfast).Two girls were supposedly working on reception and in bar next to breakfast room but kept disappearing and completely ignored me.

Liked: Excellent location close to the airport. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were excellent. I would definitely come back again.

Pleasant. I believe the hotel...
Liked: The staff was pleasant...however I did not like that Booking.com showed me a reference for an unchangeable, nonrefundable stay. I had a previous problem with this from Booking.com, one that made me want to cancel my entire account and warn my friends and circle about Booking.com. I originally booked this stay for an interview in Merignac that got cancelled...the hotel staff was MOST unwilling to accommodate my request to cancel and be refunded. I was really disappointed that the staff of the hotel did not want/ could not facilitate my request. I have had another property refund me due to unavoidable changes on my end (flight cancellations, etc.) so I am quite disappointed with the attitude of the staff in being so unwavering and unempathetic. Especially as I have made numerous bookings via Booking.com and I am no newbie. Shame for such a large hotel to behave this way! Please be careful when booking via Booking.com as they can set you up for uncomfortable situations when travelling and something unexpected comes up. Make sure to ask for a kettle for your room incase you need to make tea, we asked for some tea (they gave us two teapots) and it was 15 euros for that.
Disliked: No kettle in the room! We had to pay almost 15 euros for two teapots and tea!Room was small for double occupancy and the TV was also quite small. Shower was badly isolated so water came out into the bathroom. Be careful with the slippery SHOWER STALL FLOOR!Also unwavering attitude to the need of guests to cancel the reservation. They did however allow me to change the dates but this was still an inconvenience for us.
