Brilliant stay at the Marriott; room spacious; clean and comfortable; good breakfast and staff very professional;we ate supper in the Miller and Carter which was great, and walked up to the venue of the show which was really close.
Disliked: None.

Disliked: You tried to charge me £40 for breakfast when booking online = a rip offWhen I had a shower in the morning the water was cold moving to Luke warm = inadequate. Person at reception blamed it on me being on the 4th floor = my problem

Close but No Cary Grant...
Liked: The location is Fabulous. The Hotel is very beautiful and steeped in History. The pillows are very comfortable. The Housekeeping staff are great. Abi in Reception was Amazing, so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. She made our stay so good. Abi has excellent Customer service skills. Thank you Abi ❤️⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Disliked: Unfortunately the room was not suitable for people with allergies and sensory issues, and we were upgraded, which we really appreciated. The window in our room was not openable and there was a very loud annoying humming fan like noise in the room when the air con is switched off. We changed rooms and got a room where we could open the window but unfortunately the loud humming noise was still there. Myself and my sister got very little sleep. Expect noise from party people out in the street especially at the weekends. I was so looking forward to staying at the hotel especially since Cary Grant and Sir Winston Churchill stayed there. I would have expected that there would be a suite named after the handsome Cary Grant as he is a famous Bristolian who had a great connection with the Hotel and it was sad to see his photos down the staircase and not pride of place in Reception, or name the stake house after him. The food is lovely in the Miller and Carter Stake house. I am a coeliac and they do cater and are very aware of people with food allergies. The staff are very helpful in the steak house. Breakfast was so disappointing as it is a buffet, it's a help yourself situation which is awful in my opinion and so unhygienic with people reaching over food. Overall it didn't meet my expectations but I am so glad that I experienced it.
