Liked: We stayed here because the price was good & was within distance to get to & from the Gabba within reasonable time. The room was large & easily accommodated us. The period features & furnishings were beautiful. Very well presented.

Liked: The staff were amazing. The rooms were comfortable for its price.
Disliked: The terrace smelled like smoke, although no one was with us when we sat there in the afternoon. If only the management could be strict with the smoking area and maintain its cleanliness.

Disliked: There were hairs on the pillow cases, doona and bed sheet cover. The bed sheet cover actually had a weird yellowish cream that was crusted. It was absolutely disgusting. Hotel receptionist was very arrogant and dismissive until I brought the bed sheet cover to the front desk. Even after she gave us new covers, she was very cold in her attitude. The receptionist has black curly hair. She is the absolute worst. Rooms are very dingy and has a weird smell (think cockroach spray mixed with timber varnish
