We went to Brighton for...

Liked: The breakfast was very good and the restaurant and bar very nice to have drinks.
Disliked: The room wasn't like the photo, the presentation wasn't as I expected and I missed attention to detail about cleaning service.

Disappointing

Liked: I liked the location of the hotel as it was at the front of the seafront and all tourist attractions were local. The reception staff was friendly. The bar staff was also welcoming.
Disliked: I booked this hotel for the mere fact that it was a spa hotel with steam room, sauna and hot tub. I called the night beforehand just to confirm that this was free for hotel guests, they lady advised me this was the class but they have had to shut the facilities only the day before. If I had not called ahead I wouldn't have known. I explained I was only coming there for these things as it was my birthday. One good thing is that they upgraded my room but this is not the same. If you book a hotel for a reason then a refund would have been more suitable. When I arrived my room was also very dusty as though the maid had only changed the bedsheets but forgot to clean the room. Even the toliet roll in the bathroom was half empty. When I asked the receptionist if someone could clean the room she sorted it. When I got back to the room it was evident that the room wasn't cleaned previously as we now had water and other things in the bathroom that wasn't there previously. The breakfast was also a disappointment. I was under the impression that you could have whatever was on the menu as I paid for breakfast with my room booking. But simple things like a latte was an additional £3.45 on top of what I had already paid for. They also had set breakfast menus and if you wanted something else you were asked to pay. It would be nice to choose what you wanted to eat for breakfast like most hotels do.

Not worth the money

Liked: Nice bath in room
Disliked: I paid £320 for the best room. When we got to the hotel we didn?t realise that the spa was on usable, due to maintenance. One of the reasons we book the hotel was so we were able to use the spa. The room was noisy, We could hear the people outside all night. They supply earplugs but when you?re paying £320 for a room you shouldn?t have to wear earplugs.I was shocked when I went downstairs for breakfast that I have to pay an extra £16.50 per person. I have just paid £320 for their best room and breakfast wasn?t included, I was completely shocked at this. When we did get breakfast it was very small and the eggs were undercooked as you can see in picture provided. It?s shocking that you can pay this match for a breakfast. When we went for breakfast the Woman behind the till was sniggering with her work colleague, looking at me and my partner because I mentioned to her that I was shocked the back breakfast was so expensive and wasn?t included. When she came over to us I mentioned about having A cooked breakfast and pancakes but she said that would be an additional £16.50. I said to her that I?m shocked I would have to pay double the money for pancakes. The hydro Pool was terrible, the jets are so minimal you can barely feel them. I had a massage which felt very rushed. But probably the best part of the whole thing.I would advise using the grand hotel next door down the road, The rooms are far bigger with balconies and they have and all you can eat breakfast which is very good quality. Do not use this company

Nice, clean and comfy for...

Liked: It was nice for a quick Brighton getaway. The bed was comfy and they had left a birthday message in the room with a couple of chocolates which was a nice touch.
Disliked: The 'sea view' was a little obscured by the Odeon Cinema, but that wasn't so important to us so it was ok.The Spa was a little cramped - lots of people had the same idea as us, but it was a pleasant enough experience

The hotel is lovely and...

Liked: We were delighted to be given a sea view room and it was lovely just to watch while enjoying the complimentary gin.We met family members in the bar and were looked after very nicely. The breakfast offered was very well laid out and managed again very nicely.
Disliked: Some of the spa facilities were not available which would have been unfortunate if we had have the time to use them!

Lovely Relaxing Spa Trip

Liked: I loved the spa. The restaurant team both at breakfast and dinner were excellent - really friendly explained the menus and answered my questions. The reception team from the hotel and the spa were also great again really helpful and friendly. The massage therapist Kiki was amazing as was the hydrotherapy pool. I've already booked another trip.
Disliked: My room had a few quirks like noisy lights and the TV had odd lines on the screen. The fact that the hot tubs were down for maintenance was a shame.
