We were looking forward to...

Liked: Great location. Fridge in the room. Coffee maker.
Disliked: Unfortunately our room hadn’t been cleaned after the previous occupants on our arrival. We arrived after the check-in time stipulated on booking.com, having informed the owner of our expected time of arrival via the website. This was rather disappointing after a 4 hour journey in the heat. The armchairs in the room were still untidy from the previous occupants which made me feel a little uncomfortable. We didn’t want to trouble the owner by asking for shower gel. The dispenser was empty, and we’d already asked a barrage of questions relating to WiFi password/ iPad password/ availability of a fan. The fan heater supplied didn’t help much unfortunately and although the heatwave is in no way the fault of the owner, a simple table fan might be a wise investment. The owner was good enough to supply us with a bowl of ice.

Liked: The location was fine with me. A friend dropped me off and picked me up.The surrounding is magnificent. I loved the atmosphere.The room and the bed were perfect. I had a great night sleep. The continental breakfast was as good. I couldn't make coffee machine work though. It could have been my fault.
Disliked: There was nothing I didn't like.

Liked: Beautiful location and very nice rooms. Very quiet place in the green. The owner was very nice and helpful.
Disliked: Nothing to complain.

A delightful unexpected surprise

Liked: Beautiful quiet location, a home from home feeling. Excellent value for money, considering what you’d get from a premier inn or other such like properties charging similar rates. This is leagues above those. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Things that made it great;- Lovely fluffy white towels - robes- outdoor seating area- quaint property, in a quiet peaceful location - personal touch meeting is when we arrived- nespresso machine with fresh milk in the fridge- fresh and crisp decor, well done throughout (cute little touches with the little orange foxes dotted about)- great shower absolutely roasting - climate control in the room Was really pleasantly surprised when we arrived by the quality of the place. Very happy we stayed here.
