The Spotlight on Bridgewood Manor Hotel & Spa

Comfort Meets Convenience Near Kent’s Live Music Hotspots

Bridgewood Manor Hotel & Spa is a peaceful, upscale escape nestled in the heart of Kent. With a classic English manor house feel, this hotel brings together traditional charm and modern comforts. Situated just off the M2 and M20, it’s a convenient base for exploring local attractions—or catching a show nearby in Chatham or Rochester.

Why Concert-goers love it

Concert fans love how easy it is to get to local venues from here, including the Chatham Historic Dockyard and Rochester Castle grounds which host seasonal music events. The hotel offers 24-hour room service and comfortable, quiet rooms—ideal for winding down after a high-energy night. Plus, the relaxed check-in from 15:00 and check-out at 11:00 give you time to enjoy a slow morning post-show.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a spa day and a show
  • Solo travelers treating themselves to a concert weekend
  • Couples wanting a mix of music and pampering
  • Fans who prefer a calmer, quieter atmosphere after a gig
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who still want solid amenities

Food and Drink Options

You won’t go hungry here. The on-site Squires Restaurant serves full à la carte meals, while the lounge bar offers lighter bites, afternoon tea, and evening snacks. For those returning late from a show, the hotel’s 24-hour room service is a lifesaver. Breakfast is available in the morning—perfect after a late night.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself is more of a retreat than a party spot, it’s just a short drive to local pubs and venues in Rochester and Chatham. If you’d rather stay in, the hotel bar offers a relaxed space to sip a drink and recap the show.

What People Say

Guests consistently praise the comfortable beds, clean rooms, and friendly staff. Many appreciate the spa and leisure facilities—from the pool to the sauna—as a bonus after a night out. Reviews also highlight the convenient location for accessing Kent’s concert spots and attractions.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the décor feels a bit dated in places, and others found the parking arrangements slightly confusing on arrival. But overall, most agree the service and amenities more than make up for it.

The Bottom Line

Bridgewood Manor Hotel & Spa offers a quiet, comfortable, and well-connected home base for concert-goers looking to unwind in style after the show.

Liked: It’s got a good selection of services available. I haven’t used them all and didn’t have the time to use them this time but we’ve stayed here before on occasion and it’s always been a good experience. Was the perfect location for my needs. The staff were really friendly and helpful when we spoke with them.
Disliked: There were only a few minor things that weren’t “perfect” but nothing really worth saying it wasn’t good. The breakfast was ok, nothing to shout about but that’s a pretty average comment for a hotel breakfast. Had a small issue with water pressure in the bathroom which lead to the far wall from the shower head getting a brief soaking but managed to work around it. The wife (and another guest while we were at breakfast) didn’t like the coffee from the machine at breakfast but they do have other options available for coffee and a better coffee available from the bar. Possibly may have been an issue with the levels in the machine though.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Disappointing

Liked: Clean rooms and hotel
Disliked: Hidden fees. You have to pay a £50 breakage deposit which wasn't made clear when booking even though the hotel said it was. Also £5 to pay to park which is bad I feel when you've paid nearly £100 for a room. Breakfast was cold, had to ask them to re cook it and it didn't come out much better. Would look for a different hotel next time.

Nice stay in a pleasant...

Liked: Clean with friendly helpful staff, nice location with good parking. Nice room with plenty of space.
Disliked: Food was very expensive for what was offered with a very limited menu. There were very few Sockets in the room and these were were badly positioned. The kettle leaked whenever you poured from it and the tower fan supplied was clogged with dust and did not work very well given that it was one of the hottest weekends.
