Great hotel at an excellent...

Liked: Lovely manageress who was very helpful. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable with excellent bathroom and shower. We arrived on bikes and there is a dry, secure storage shed to put them in. Breakfast is fabulous with all options to eat and flexible on time. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again in future.

Special hotel by the river.

Liked: Wonderful comfortable room. Excellent facilities for someone in a wheelchair. Staff so very friendly and helpful. Cannot wait to go again.

Superb

Comfortable accommodation and good breakfast

Liked: Warm comfortable and clean room. Excellent breakfast with lots of fresh fruit and a huge cooked breakfast.
Disliked: I was placed in the annex which was an old house 5 minutes walk from the main hotel and a bit tricky to find. My room was small and furniture quite tired, but not bad for the price paid. It was sold as an economy room. Coffee at breakfast wasn’t very good quality.

Liked: Breakfast nice, good food, hot and pleasant breakfast staff.
Disliked: EXTREMELY noisy in room due to thundering traffic more or less continuously. Lorries particularly, right through the night too, disturbed our sleep. Room was in annex, path a bit uneven so if have walking problems a bit risky. I have to be careful as have hip problems and worry about falling.

Welcoming, friendly, immaculate. The food...

Liked: We arrived to a very warm & friendly greeting from reception. Our room was immaculate, decorated to a high standard & very comfortable. We had a beautiful view out of our back door looking over the river Ouse.Breakfast was absolutely delicious, cooked to a very high standard & both the waitresses & chef couldn't do enough for us. I would highly recommend this B&B to any of my friends & family.
Disliked: The only thing that could have made our stay even more wonderful would have been if the renovations taken place out the back were finished & we could have sat out & enjoyed the beautiful river scene. But we understand there is never a good time to renovate & once the works are complete the area will look stunning. It didn't spoil our stay.

Great location, excellent staff and...

Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were in the budget quadruple room (2 adults and 2children) and it felt spacious and comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean. We were there to enjoy walking and the hotel is just 20mins walk from the marvellous Brandon Park. It is also just 10mins by car from Thetford Forest High Lodge. This was brilliant.
Disliked: I would have liked a glass or metal kettle in the room as the plastic one is outdated with a rusty heating element and this types of kettles leak plastic in your water when heated. I didn't have tea or coffee because of this, even though there was a nice selection of teas and coffees in the room.
