Briarwood Bed & Breakfast

Nice old home and close...

Liked: A nice very old period home with huge magnificent gardens. However the surroundings are very industrial and busy noisy main roads filled with trucks and traffic. Bonus is very close to the airport which is why I booked it. Breakfast disappointing for me-there was no cereal, and as I don’t eat bacon and eggs, only toast and jam so not great. Friendly owner who was welcoming and helpful.
Disliked: Breakfast.

Exceptional historic property

Liked: Such an exceptional historic property to stay in! It was very surprising to find this beautiful home so close to the airport. The owners and staff put their hearts and souls into it. We’ve never come across a b&b with so much care for the interiors, the breakfast in the formal dining room and the immaculate grounds. The flowers in the garden are exquisite, as beautiful as an English country garden, with huge Solomon ‘s seal, Hostas and Irises. How much work this all must be.We dined a short walk away at Rob Bitar’s restaurant on recommendation of the host, it was great! Many, many thanks for your hospitality.
