Overall okay and I would...

Liked: Room was good size and well equipped.
Disliked: We found the hotel very hot; the bar in the evening when we had to move to a table as far away from the radiators as possible, our room at 5am when we were so hot we had to turn off the radiators and open the window. The breakfast food was okay, but service a little lacking in that we waited around for someone at the check in desk at 08:40, then sat ourselves down and helped ourselves to cereal. It was only when my husband went to reception to check that breakfast did actually open at 08:30 that someone actually came out to take our order for hot drinks and food.

A welcoming staff and homely...

Liked: The hotel is set in small gardens and we had lovely views of the grounds from our room. There were fabulous canal walks near by and plenty of wildlife. The staff were amazing at the hotel and couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable. The restaurant food and bar was excellent. Parking was easy. The bed was really comfortable.
Disliked: The larger double room that we booked was actually quite small in size. We had trouble putting our things out especially in the bathroom which was also small. The was soap and shower gel provided but the dispensers were impossible to use.
