Great hotel in central location...

Liked: Excellent hotel, rooms with period furniture and high ceilings, views of the castle and quiet overnight with sounds of the river and weir in the background. Good breakfast and restaurant. Didn't use the outdoor garden terrace overlooking the town and river (too early in year) but it looked good.
Disliked: Just about enough parking some of the spaces were a bit narrow

Second visit. Enjoyed our stay....

Liked: Breakfast was adequate. On our previous visit, there was a lot more choice at breakfast. Fresh fruit and buffet choice (we were made aware of a kitchen upgrade).We enjoy the quirky layout and sloping floors (due to the age of construction).Fantastic location and vistas.Helpful and polite staff.
Disliked: Touch of paint.Dated bed.

Disliked: Room was not in the best condition, very small and mould in the bathroom. Could not watch the TV from the bed.

Disliked: The breakfast on the first day. The bed in the room was two single beds held together by a kingsize sheet.

Liked: Great location, quirky and interesting building, good parking, good food, friendly helpful staff
Disliked: Windows needed fixing!Really sad to hear they don’t do weddings now

You get what you pay...

Liked: Breakfast was good- and our dinner was also good- there’s obviously a decent chef working here. The eating rooms were nice and better kept up than the sleeping part of the hotel.
Disliked: Very run down place room
