Magical little Hotel

Wouldn’t let my dog stay...

Liked: Turned up to check in and despite booking being confirmed on arrival was turned away due to the hotel being fully booked out for a private event after a 5 hour journey
Disliked: Terribly rude staff and horrific treatment

Fabulous staff and location

Liked: Beautiful location. From start to finish, we had an amazing time, made extra special by Debbie (receptionist) who went above and beyond her role to make us feel welcome, I left feeling like I'd known her for years. Anastasia for the bar service (Orange wine, rocks almost as good as you) and Tamzin for her gentle smile and super service. All the staff here were warm and welcoming, but Debbie, Tamzin and Anastasia elevated our stay to the max! Thank you
Disliked: Breakfast was a bit pricy for what it was.

Liked: Location, Staff reception meet and greet was excellent room was excellent, birthday slate with the happy birthday message was great. The grounds are beautiful and the hotel spa was perfect. A Massive thank you to Debbie at reception and carter the house keeper thank you.
Disliked: Everything, and the staff made it more friendly and the stay and an enjoyable experience. Thank you again.

Excellent hotel with super helpful...

Liked: The breakfast waiting staff and the bar waiting staff were very attentive. The reception staff were very helpful and cheery. In particular the reception manager Iva who was super helpful and cheerful. The spa reception staff were very helpful too and the spa was nice and quiet.
Disliked: Nothing to not like but we were in a room on the ground floor and unfortunately the person above us was quite noisy and the floorboards creaky. It would have been nice to have had some nuts and seeds for breakfast and more of a granola type selection. The yoghurt which stood on its own wasn’t particularly cold. Having said that overall the breakfast was good

Disliked: breakfast wasn't great value (for vegetarians at least) & would be great if the hotel worked on having some relationships with local taxi services as travel to the near-by vineyard etc isn't ideal in terms of wait time & price.
