Brackenborough Lakes Resort

Relaxing, Comfortable and Romantic.

Liked: Myself and the Missus had a Lovely Break Away at Brackenborough. We was Pleasantly surprised at the size of the Lodge and what the Lodge had to Offer. The Lodge was very clean and very Nice. The Hot Tub was easy to use and all together including the Weather it was an Amazing get away.
Disliked: The Only Negatives I can give are:1, You are unable to Park your Vehicle next to your Lodge - I Understand that it states that they do not allow this due to Vehicles becoming stuck, but I believe this should be at the Owners discretion.2, Space of the Main Bedroom - The Main Bedroom was very small and was the only issue I could think of in regards to the Lodge. Overall, Myself and the Missus had a very good break away and would Recommend this to any Couple.

Very good

Liked: The location was very peaceful with a small duck pond. The cabin was spacious with a comfortable bed, good amenities. Reasutant within walking distance, food was great. Parking was great and right outside the cabin. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The cabin had quite a lot of flies, but we dealt with it by getting a fly spray, this made it tolerable.

Fab break for a family

Liked: Fabulous place, lodges spotless and comfortable. With nearly everything you need. Great location for exploring the area. Hot tub, a winner around.
Disliked: Not so much as a didn't like but lodges just missing a few personal touches such as bedside lamps.

Superb

Liked: The lodges are fabulous. Location perfect, only half an hour away from beach resorts.
Disliked: 4pm is quite late for the check in if you have to be out by 10am on the day you leave. Even by adjusting these time by an hour for each would make it feel much better as we didn't get to spend as much time there as we would have loved. There was only one small "lake" but totally surrounded by lodges so would have to fish in between so felt like it would be imposing on their allocated area and the website states it has a shop for larder essentials but there isn't one. Saying that there is a spar and garage literally 5 mins away. We still had an excellent time

Superb

Liked: Lovely modern lodge, the view of the lake is beautiful. Lodge was lovely and clean, great sunken hot tub so you can admire the view. Great peaceful location close to town. Stay was made even more perfect as they now have WiFi.
Disliked: Its very dog friendly, but the site could use an enclosed dog area to let them off.The outdoor furniture at our lodge was particularly weathered, with one chair damaged. This could do with an upgrade if you wanted to have a meal on the decking.

Great relaxing stay

Liked: Lovely setting, a spacious lodge with a lovely outdoor seating area and hot tub. Facilities were great. Really comfy bed. Loved the resident ducks, watching them patrol between the lodges depending on the presence of people they could try to charm treats from!
Disliked: The only quibble we had was the TV in the main bedroom didn’t seem to work, which is a fairly small issue in the grand scheme of things!
