Overall a great stay!
Liked: First of all the property staff was SO welcoming and friendly. Everyone was very willing to help with any questions. Everyone said hello as we passed in the hallways. It really made the experience great. There was also plenty to do which was nice. We accidentally left a customized cup behind and the lost and found called to let us know which was awesome.
Disliked: The food is expensive and there’s not a lot of options to grab a la carte items. This was the biggest struggle for our group. Having a 6 year old and someone who doesn’t eat much at a sitting but is always hungry made it kind of rough.

Relaxing birthday getaway !
Liked: Everything was great, we were able to check in early although it was spring break. We were traveling for my birthday and Boyne took extra care and attention to help me have a nice stay, they surprised me with chocolates and champagne in our room upon arrival , and a birthday card. The room was spotless, clean, and comfortable. The facilities and spa are always nice.
Disliked: Nothing

Not worth it
Liked: It was at Boyne Mountain
Disliked: It was so old, run down, furniture falling apart, had a dog barking below us at all hours, no elevator.

Snow activities are fab! The...
Liked: The runs, snow staff, food and shops within Boyne are fantastic! Easily 10/10.
Disliked: The hotel, however, leaves something to be desired and we will not stay on-property again. The room we were given in the clock tower was straight out of 1974 and not in a good way. Outdated with a TINY bathroom and single-pane crank windows, we were more than disappointed for the $300 (weekday!) per night price tag. This was absolutely not how Booking.com represented the property and rooms. After 4 calls to Booking.com (the hotel saying they had zero control over the reservation since it was booked by a third party) and having to involve 4 or 5 members of the front desk staff, we were finally moved to a room in the main building and into a room that was straight out of 1986 but at least it was a nice size; definitely more like what we had expected for the money. But seriously, Boyne, it’s time for a refresh. Although the front desk staff was eventually able to put us in a bigger room they had wanted to tack on a $100 ‘upgrade’ fee which at that point was absolutely ridiculous. I was to the point of canceling and finding another place when they were suddenly able to waive the upgrade fee.All told, we spent probably an hour trying to sort out the room situation, with the hotel and Booking just pointing the finger at each other and no one taking care of the customer and only doing the right thing upon threat of cancellation. The hotel experience I’d rate 4/10. I gave the overall rating an 8 because what we were there to do (snowboard) was fantastic! We will definitely ride Boyne again but won’t stay at the hotel. It’s not worth the price, especially when the staff seem to have forgotten the meaning of the word ‘hospitality’ (except for the woman we checked out with. She was lovely!). Booking.com is also losing us as a customer. We will book directly with the properties from now on.
