Excellent place to stay on...

Liked: Overall a good size warm comfortable room with bathroom. There was adequate tea and coffee facilities and a large TV. There was a very nice continental breakfast included but I payed extra for a full english which was delicious. The staff were very polite and helpful. There is plenty of parking space and I would book a room if passing that way again.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Excellent small lodge hotel. Very conveniently situated and very attentive staff. We would thoroughly recommend it. Lovely breakfast and very comfortable rooms.

Liked: The breakfast was just continental . There was a choice of cereal & offer of toast & croissant. Would have liked a choice of a cooked breakfast
Disliked: We found the pillows weren’t comfy. Could have been softer. The room was clean but needs updating, which looks that’s in place.

Good location for London by...

Liked: Check in was over the phone to access a key safe outside the main building, but only took 2 mins. The rooms were of a good size but were just a bit dated in terms of fittings and decor - a light renovation would be good. This applies to the bathroom as well. The room was nice and warm and had usual facilities. There was some noise from the room, above in terms of footstep’s, until midnight. There is a short walk across a courtyard for breakfast and both full English and continental were very good. Would definitely stay again when visiting Hemel Hempstead or London (25 mins on train to Euston) from nearby train station (500 yards).
