Lovely hospitality; slightly tired room....

Liked: It was clear it was a B&B, not a hotel, so I was happy with that. The lady who ran the place was very efficient with bookings and communicating with me to arrange details for my arrival. I found her helpful and approachable throughout. Breakfast was delicious and generous. I also loved the decor, photos and paintings. The room I stayed in was huge. But a little chilly, probably on account of its size! The bed was enormous, and very comfortable. I slept like a log. There is a pub opposite that caters for dinner. Or there's a huge Tesco a short drive away. The owner kindly offered to arrange food to be delivered from the pub if I would have liked. She couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating.
Disliked: The property itself isn't in the best location, and the photos made it appear slightly smarter than it was. The building is a little bit tired and in need of some TLC. But has huge potential to be truly stunning. The floors were super-creaky (but not unusual in an old property like this), the floor in my room sloped, a bit like being on a boat! I didn't particularly like the bath being in the bedroom, and would have preferred a nicer en-suite. I couldn't get a good connection on the wi-fi.

Liked: The property was interesting and full of character. The proprietor and staff were attentive. We were the only guests so we were given full attention.

Disappointing

Liked: The hosts was pleasant, the breakfast was OK and the service was attentive.
Disliked: No heating, no hot water. Had a luke warm shower the 1st night, the pillow inside the case was very dirty. The 2nd night my wife & daughter slept in there clothes.
