Liked: Good location on the Columbia river.
Disliked: No AC. Weather in Astoria was hot. Our room was hot. I like a firm mattress. The one in the room was the opposite.I would have stayed in a chain hotel had I known these things about Bowline.

Disliked: Room had concrete floor- with a rug in bed area- open ceiling with pipes running across- unfinished walls

Liked: The staff were very friendly, and the food was delicious. We really enjoyed the saunas. The beds were very comfortable, close to everything.

Liked: The room was spacious with a large balcony. The indoor fireplace made it cozy and the upscale nautical theme was well done. Location is perfect for walking to most attractions and restaurants. We didn’t use the saunas but it’s an extra that many might love. Valet parking is affordable and the welcome glass of champagne was a nice touch. The salmon chowder at the hotel restaurant was outstanding.
Disliked: The only downsides to the room we had were stains on the carpet in one area and a sketchy shower head. However, we were awakened by very loud noises ( think t-Rex stomping) which shook the room and lasted about an hour. We were told in the morning that passing ships cause the pylons to bang into the building. It was disconcerting and impossible to sleep through.
