Great potential. Not up to...

Liked: a spacious B&B in a quite house in the suburbs, superbly located near buses and the metro, two stations from Harvard. Generous breakfast although no fresh pastries/bread.
Disliked: The promised desk was not a desk at all. Impossible to work. Old and very noisy air-condition located low, near bed. For me - not usable.I had to work from cafes...Only a shower head in a bath tab. No bidet or other means for internal washing. Breakfast is only after eight O'clock even though guest can self serve practically and may use the kitchen it seems.

Pretty suburb, quaint shops, Train.

Liked: We felt very welcome to this B n B. Plenty of room, ensuite, privacy, friendliness, helpful advice for tours and transport. A very comfortable bed for these weary travellers. Great coffee and breakfasts.

Disliked: The window air conditioner was loud and woke me up throughout the night when it would turn on

Best way to experience Davis...

Liked: I’ve stayed around Davis Square a few times but Steven and Christina’s place is the absolute best I’ve experienced. Not only does it have the best price, but far and away it has the best location. My room was comfortable, peaceful, and quiet while being literal steps away from the most vibrant cafes and restaurants of Davis Square. A lovely continental breakfast was served each morning, and I loved getting to know the hosts better. (Just note that you should bring your own conditioner if you need it—but soap and shampoo are provided for the showers.) Cannot recommend Bowers House enough!

Comfortable B&B with a personal...

Liked: The room was large, comfortable, and, like the bathroom, very clean. The neighborhood is interesting and diverse - lots to explore next time I‘m there. The Red Line takes you to South Station (Amtrak, Silver Line Shuttle to Airport), and right into the city. But Christina and Steven, the owners, are the one‘s who make the real difference. They made me feel right at home from the first moment. Sitting at the breakfast table and chatting with Christina was the best way to start my day. I‘ll be back!

Recommended stay!

Liked: Comfortable room, with private bathroom just outside the room. This does not create a problem, as the whole floor is almost dedicated to the room.
