Small, charming hotel right in...

Liked: A small, pleasant hotel right in the heart of Amsterdam, just around the corner from the Rijksmuseum. The hotel is run with a lot of love. The staff and owners are extremely polite. I was at an event in the Melkweg and the check-out time of 12 noon was very convenient. For a short stay of one or two nights, I would book this hotel again. Wonderful view of the canal. Restaurants, supermarkets, and several kiosks open 24/7 are all just around the corner. The price was okay for the location.
Disliked: Here are a few tips for other travelers:1. The stairs are very steep and there is no elevator.2. The rooms are really small, so a longer stay is almost impossible because you can't really store your belongings anywhere.3. The hotel only has single glazing, which means that noise from outside cannot really be kept out.4. There is no air conditioning—I knew this beforehand and it is also stated in the description.5. The hotel is located directly in the flight path of the airport. With the windows open, you feel like you are staying at an airport—a plane flies past every 2–3 minutes.Again, these are just tips for future guests; none of these points bothered me - and I would book the hotel again for a short trip!!!

Liked: The staff were really friendly and the room was really clean, with a fan provided to help with the heat. The location was perfect, just a short walk from Vondelpark and the Rijksmuseum.
