Disappointing
Liked: Walking distance to the RU campus was the main reason I made this choice. Nice park on the way. Bus stop really close if you want to take a bus to the city.
Disliked: Unfortunately it turned out that it was not a good choice for a such a hot summer week reaching 37°C.Room was under the roof, unbearably hot inside the room during the day so I tried not to come back to the room for a rest and it was still too hot even well after midnight. Bus to the city runs every 30mins and sometimes it is not on time and if it comes early you might miss it.

Pleasant location
Liked: Location was pleasant, public bus from the station drops you outside the hotel.
Disliked: Out of hours door entry was not the easiest, a very sticky door that has a bit of a knack, thought I wasn't going to get in for about 20 minutes. Go through it with the staff before if you need it at any point. I got charged for 2 nights but could only stay 1 night as a Dutch train strike meant I would not have been able to travel if I'd stayed the second night. I understand that it was not the hotel's fault, but it was not mine either and I felt they could have given me some discount or at least refunded my city tax since I couldn't stay.

A comfortable stay but could...
Liked: The breakfast was great (apart from a few issues with the coffee machine) - a nice selection of breads, some croissants, cheeses, eggs, yoghurts, cereals & a delicious homemade seasonal fresh fruit salad with optional nuts to add. The patio for drinks (meals too I think) and surrounding gardens were also lovely. There is a new (or newly renovated) very practical car park across the road. The room itself was wonderfully clean and practical with a very comfortable bed.
Disliked: Personally, I would have given an overall excellent rating if (the single) room had been a little less spartan/utilitarian. While the bathroom was pristine, clean and beautifully tiled, the room just seemed very bare: hardly any decoration, a bare metal frame of shelves & hanging space & very limited lighting. The overhead light hardly lit the room at all & the bedside lamp was equally dim - not possible to read a book in bed... The website photo of the single room looks a bit gloomy & indeed the room is badly lit after dark...
