Liked: Very comfortable bed
Disliked: Tiny, tiny, tiny room and bathroom. Plus advertised as a hotel / apartment. There was no reception staff so we had to call a number on arrival to be shown our room. No where to store bags the next day and n door on the shower so water went everywhere!!

What is a Boutique hotel?

Liked: The bathroom. Good size and great facilities. The bed itself was very comfortable
Disliked: The hotel was described as a Boutique hotel however, it was more boarding house than Boutique. There was little room around the bed. Very little storage space. The decor was very dark painted black. No elevator. A marble spiral staircase and dangerous to carry up and down with my leather shoes slipping on the marble. Not a place I would attach the word hotel to. Very disappointing.

Pleasant

Liked: the room was beautiful and clean.
Disliked: there was no staff working here, just a sign with a number to call when you entered the building. the person on the phone only spoke French which was difficult. our key was already in the door to our room in an unlocked building which didnt feel safe.

Very good

Liked: Nice comfortable bed and beautifully decorated room. Ten minute walk to city centre. 5 minute walk to closest metro station
Disliked: No lift to second floor. no shower door in a small space. No parking options (street parking quite expensive - better take car to one of the public parking spaces and walk or take metro back (metro station is only 5 minutes away)

Not what we expected from photos and description.

Liked: Location was close to the station and central Montpellier, however road was very busy in the mornings, making the room noisy as windows were open due to the hot weather. Bathroom was spacious.
Disliked: There was no clear instructions at check in- we had to message through booking.com and host arrived. There is no escalator and we were located on 2nd floor with a very heavy suitcase. Host did help carry up the stairs. Nice en suite bathroom, but the bedroom was very small barely 1 foot space all around the bed.

Good stay in convenient location in beautiful Montpellier

Liked: Its very different in an old house. Although the room was small it had everything we wanted. Close walking distance to some nice local restaurants and also very close to the main train station and not far from the shopping centre
Disliked: All good
