A wonderful stay!
Liked: A nice good looking room with many extras and the record player with various LPs was really great! Extensive breakfast for everyone's wishes. Atmospheric and very well cared for. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The glass transparent door of the bathroom/toilet offers less privacy in the bathroom and that was the only downside

Great location but not worth...
Liked: The location is wonderful, street was quiet and the shower pressure decent. The teas, snacks and provisions were generous. Check in and out was easy and fast.
Disliked: A few noticeable let downs: the room had a strong sickly sweet aroma when we first arrived; the single bed had a broken leg and was on a slant and needed fixing; one set of pillows and towel were small and substandard compared to the other set; the room was not automatically cleaned in the day but rather needed a sign hung on the door that we needed notice until after.

Genuinely wished the stay had...
Liked: Charming house conversion in a nice area. West End location near to theatre and attractions. Nice decor with clean fresh linen in bijou room with very small ensuite. Receptionist pleasant on check in and check out and kindly booked me a taxi to the theatre. There are no staff onsite overnight but there is a number to call if needed.
Disliked: The price of my one-night stay has left me feeling exploited. The 239.87 pounds for one night in standard double room with buffet breakfast for one. Expected the price and rave reviews to reflect a premium experience. My original event at the Ovo Hydro was cancelled and it was only on trying to cancel Boutique 50 I found out the inflexible booking policy means you can't cancel or change dates and that other nights are significantly cheaper depending on which night you might choose to stay. Due to the previous guest recent reviews, I was expecting better things. It was average. Then the tiny, cramped breakfast room where guests jostled for space to get their own breakfast then sat knee to knee in silence to eat it. Felt more like a hostel than a boutique. Quality teabags in the breakfast room would have been appreciated in my room along with a teaspoon! If you take your car, there is only on -street parking with expensive and confusing tariffs and others have been fined.

Cheerful, helpful staff. Lovely hotel,...
Liked: Good, simple self-serve breakfast to get us started for our day, with enough options to satisfy everyone in our 4-person group. The hotel is well-named: it's a cutie boutique hotel. We even spun a couple of the vinyl albums in our room. We appreciated the location, and when we had trouble connecting with our car rental's shuttle then the staff were great about helping us out. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.
Disliked: The walk from the train station to the hotel was a bit longer than we anticipated (dragging our luggage), but that's on us. Next time I would probably hop in a taxi.

I would stay here again!
Liked: Nice little boutique hotel. We had room #3 facing the street. Quiet nice neighborhood walkable to all west end attractions and half hour walk to downtown. Clean and comfortable beds. We used the record player in the evening. Light snacks at 6pm was nice. John and the staff were very welcoming!
Disliked: Only complaint was the weaker shower pressure than we are normally use to.
