Liked: The garden is beautifully well maintained. The property has a lot of character and history. We stayed in the duchess suite which is recently modernised.
Disliked: The first room we got offered needs to be redone, however they are working on that.

Liked: Food and service was very good. I liked the bar room, I didn't use it, but it looked as a room that I would like to spent an evening in, if I wasn't there with small children.
Disliked: There was no lock in the bathroom, which is not comfortable with children around.

It's was a pleasant stay.

Half term break review.

Liked: The setting was nice, and the atmosphere was good. The room was lovely and clean with a view out at sea. The food was very good and the stay was good value for money. A lovely quiet break in a lovely part of the Isle of Wight.
Disliked: Not always an option for the evening meal.

Liked: The staff were truly lovely and personable, going out of their way to provide a first class service. They even arranged flowers and a card for my mum's birthday and their anniversary. The breakfast, lunch and evening meals throughout the week were superb.Waiter/waitress service first class.
Disliked: I am aware that the current owners only took over a little while ago and upgrading the decor in some places of the hotel is a job in hand.
