Disliked: We stayed at Bourbon Orleans from May 2–4 for my birthday weekend, and it was a complete disaster. I’ve never felt so frustrated and misled by a hotel.At check-in, we were charged $360, including a $200 pet fee, $50/night valet, and incidentals. That would’ve been fine if the stay had been worth it—but it absolutely was not.The room (139) was stuffy, the AC kept shutting off, the walls were paper thin, and street noise lasted past 3 a.m. The beds were okay, but the pillows were awful. Definitely not worth what we paid.They call themselves pet-friendly but don’t even have a pet relief area. We had to walk our dog through the busy French Quarter just to let him go to the bathroom. Not convenient or safe.Then came the pet fee lie. Their website clearly says a $100 one-time fee per stay, but at checkout, the front desk woman insisted it was $100 per night and refused to listen. My husband had to come back in with the website pulled up and the receipt. Only then did the manager admit they were wrong, apologize, and refund the extra $100. The woman at the front desk said nothing—not even a “sorry.”Also, we were given a $20 cocktail credit at check-in—but when we spent $19.41, they told us we didn’t qualify for the credit because it wasn’t a full $20. We missed the offer by 59 cents and they wouldn’t honor it. Seriously?We also called for help with luggage an hour before checkout. No one ever showed up. I had to go down and find a cart myself.Oh, and the valet was the only parking option we were told about—even though their website lists parking. More misleading info.The only decent moment was the manager apologizing and fixing the pet fee. But overall, the hotel was overpriced, uncomfortable, and full of unnecessary headaches.I will never stay here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. 1 good thing, the pool. I had a relaxing time lounging in it.

Great location but pricey and...

Liked: Location was ideal. The doorman was helpful as he advised us to check prices or uber to airport vs set price of taxi. The taxi during the morning rush was the better deal
Disliked: At check in our room was not ready until after 5pm. I inquired re any compensation for this inconvenience and answer was "I have to ask the manager" the customer-facing staff should have the ability to offer a drink voucher or something of that nature. The view from our room was a bunch of pipes. Room was really small...challenge to find space to open suitcase

Liked: Breakfast was great. Bar staff was amazing.
Disliked: Prices were a little high for breakfast

Great hotel!

Liked: The hotel architecture was beautiful. The location was perfect to go walking to the restaurants and bars. The Church and river was very closed by. The hotel bar was one of the best that we went to. I want to come back next year for Jazz Festival.
Disliked: The color of the pool is dark. Not used to seeing a pool like this. Other than that the pool was clean and has great size to swim.The bedroom pillows were too big for me.

Perfect Location

Liked: The location is incredible. You are right in the center of things yet you are not overwhelmed by all the action on Bourbon. It's a beautiful and quiet yet lively hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly, the facilities are beautiful, and it is a great launching off point to do anything in the city.
