Disliked: Breakfast very limited of options

Excellent stay will certainly recommend...

Liked: The food was superb, especially the evening meal which was ~Wow
Disliked: Very little....maybe if we could have opened the window wider as the room was very warm during the night. However its this silly rule in most hotels now to limit the opening... to the guests discomfort.

Lovely hotel in a quiet...

Liked: We liked it there were separate rooms for children and adults in the family suite. My daughter enjoyed that she could sign in to Netflix on the TV. The breakfast was very good. There was a lot of space in the room.
Disliked: It’s a bit noisy if people are opening and closing cupboards it seems but it’s quiet at night when everyone is asleep. I found it interesting however that weren’t many families staying at the hotel.

Liked: We had a fantastic 2 night stay at the Borrowdale Gates Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional – nothing was too much trouble, and they really made us feel welcome. Our room had been upgraded it was exceptionally spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing break and the views were incredible. While we didn’t dine in the hotel for lunch or dinner, the breakfast each morning was absolutely lovely – fresh, well-prepared, and a great way to start the day. The setting is stunning too, right in the heart of Borrowdale. Highly recommended.
