A lovely stay, with the...

Liked: The staff were fantastic. So friendly, helpful and accommodating. The spa treatments were excellent and there was a good amount of choice. The room size was good and the dog friendly package was reasonable, with a nice supply of good quality dog treats provided, a great dog tin with handy items, blanket and food and drink bowls.Dinner was delicious and breakfast good.We enjoyed the fireplace in the Great Hall and having that area and the other rooms next to the Brasserie to sit in and enjoy a drink or spot of lunch.
Disliked: The spa treatment rooms were a little chilly and the relaxation area was definitely chilly (although I do feel the cold) so it wasn't somewhere I wanted to stay for very long and I think they could have had some relaxation music in the relaxation room and perhaps some oil diffusers, etc. just to add to the spa feel. It was more functional but still pleasant. The variety of saunas, steam room and then the hot tubs, was good. It was very busy as they had spa members, day spa trippers plus guests and it was a popular time, just after the New Year so it was very full and busy when we went early evenings. We were a little nervous with Covid but that's hard to avoid at this time and generally + elsewhere, we felt very comfortable.

Beautiful adult escape time, just...

Liked: The details that this hotel has gone to to make it a special night away were just beyond what we could have wished for. Absolutely brilliant place. In particular, the opening hours of the spa (6am - 10pm everyday) meant that we cold fully relax and unwind for the time we were there. A night away here has really helped re-charge the batteries. Thanks to all the staff who were working so hard.
Disliked: We did have one issue. There were 5 biscuits in the room, and 2 of us....???!!!

Superb

Disliked: I felt robbed. Far to expensive, food in hotel not at a high enough level for a 5 star hotel. Wine was 4x to expensive. I.e 71 bottle actual value 18. Breakfast well presented but not good at all.
