Liked: Very nicely finished whole still feeling authentic.
Disliked: The room wasn't haunted or that the ghost tours are weekend only.

After visiting museum 2 years...

Liked: Loved the history (however terrible), the design of rooms, layout and restoration
Disliked: Maybe a little bit expensive in the restaurant but the chapel surrounding was so atmospheric

Unique and different

Liked: This was such a unique experience, not something I will soon forget. The building itself has so many historical facts and interesting stories and even some spooky ones. We did the guided tour, absolutely amazing. Very interactive. Ample parking. Breakfast and dinner in the chapel restaurant were great, restaurant staff very friendly and helpful. Last but not least, I loved our room !!! Even had a framed story of an inmate. Oh yes, and the complimentary bar was a huge surprise.
Disliked: The rest of the staff were not very friendly or helpful. Just there to do a job, not well informed at all, about anything I've asked them..

Liked: The history and provenance of the place makes staying there feel like a unique experience.
Disliked: Based on my expectations it fully met with what I had wanted.

WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY AND...

Liked: the whole Jail part of the hotel was absolutely brilliant, we enjoyed the little pieces of history kept, and staff were very good at dinner and breakfast when we went
Disliked: The price of the wines were atrocious, i dont mind a mark up, i know people have got to make money, but when you google the price of a whole bottle online, and its GBP9 and you're being charged GBP14 for small and GBP28 for large glass, its a rip off.. and they have you because there arent many pubs close by..
