Stunning building, wonderful stay!

Liked: Stunning building, great staff, service and delicious food.
Disliked: Not necessarily a didn't like, but just a lack of information shared upon check-in.We weren't told that the minibar is complimentary, what time breakfast was served or check out time.That aside, it was still a wonderful experience.

No longer as luxurious, but...

Liked: The building itself is beautiful, great attention to details such as the lighting and decor. Wouldn’t call it luxury, but definitely close to premium. Breakfast in the chapel restaurant has definitely improved since the last visit with great service!
Disliked: At our stay, in comparison to a previous stay it was obvious of cost cutting. For example, shampoo and soap used to be placed on the side in the bathroom presented quite nicely. Now it’s a bottle attached to the wall such the same as a premier inn room, the little restaurant has changed its name and its menu has been reduced to a few choices, and the champagne bar was out of use although accommodated by the chapel restaurant instead. There was also the removal of reed diffusers in the bathrooms, slight smell of wet dog on level three on the carpeted hallways, also seems that 24/hr room service with a menu no longer exists such as breakfast in your room seems to no longer be an option.

Liked: Loved the history surrounding the hotel. Staff very attentive. Quality products used in tastefully decorated rooms. Exceeded expectations.
Disliked: Nothing to not like!
