Lovely quirky place to stay,...

Liked: Lovely quirky place on the canal. Location was great, about a fifteen minute walk into the centre, but there is a free shuttle bus a five minute walk away at the station if wanted. Rooms nautical themed, nice view over the canal. Staff friendly. We chose not to have breakfast .
Disliked: Bar/reception opening hours a little erratic.

Great location for the town...

Liked: Great location for the centre of Brugge, on the river, easy walk into town through a small but lovely park.
Disliked: We have stayed here several times over the last 20 + years, breakfast this time wasn’t as good as we have had in the past and use to be included in the room rate, this time it was an extra. Could do with an update now. Our room was clean and comfortable.

Quite dis-appointing due to the...

Liked: The Breakfast was ok and plentiful. The room was really small and poorly lit, you could not see the TV from the bed due to the angle its set at. Tea and coffee should be standard in a room in todays world, but here you have to pay extra for it to be put into the room, just put it in and add the extra £5.00 pound to the cost of the room. The mattress had all broken on the edge of the one in room 9 where we stayed, but the female member of staff was not interested when I asked for it to be sorted. You need to supply a better fan for the room as the one we had was not controllable.
Disliked: be honest on the web site and tell us upfront about the extras, Parking is chargeable as well even after having its own parking area, its cheaper to park 20metres away at £4.50 per night as opposed to £15.00 per night to the hotel, and the restaurant only opens Friday, sat, but again this was not on the web so we thought we could eat on the boat but was unable to. The gardens are scruffy and need work.

Liked: It was quirkily placed on the canal walking distance from the city centre.
Disliked: We liked everything.

Stay right on the water!

Liked: This is a charming hotel right on the canal. The buffet breakfast is an additional cost, but quite nice with a good variety of things to choose from. There were both hot and cold items to select.The front garden was a great place to sit and have a beer of wine during the heatwave.The rooms were quite comfortable and there was good water pressure in the showers. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We'd certainly stay here again.
Disliked: Everything was great, though the heatwave made things a bit sticky.
