Pleasant

Liked: Room was good, clean and nice size, very comfy.
Disliked: I had to pay $28 for parking, they charged me $100 on top of my room charges and parking charges i knew nothing about. i thought booking said free parking as i wouldnt have stayed there for less than 24 hours for a $28 rate... location was right across street from a homeless campground, trash and scary peeps walking around.

Passable

Liked: The location WAS in super close proximity to Universal Studios, so that was convenience. However please use caution if you choose to walk, especially if you?re with little ones. You?ll have to cross busy Ventura Blvd and go underneath the freeway - it?s definitely sketchy and I don?t recommend. Once you cross over the freeway, the walk to Universal from the street is a long, steep uphill (I would guess about a mile) which is exhausting. We walked on Day #1 and it was just way too much, so we opted to drive on Day #2. Parking at Universal was $28 (weekday) and it was well worth the convenience of not having to do that walk back. But it was close to Universal, so I?ll give them that.
Disliked: This is a budget hotel, so you get what you pay for. It?s located directly across a large homeless encampment. The building smelled odd, and when we got to our room, the AC unit was dismantled and all over the floor. The window from our room showed a view of the entire encampment and my kids watched an ambulance administrate aid to a homeless man laying on the ground. I called the front desk about the AC unit, and they asked us to come to the front desk for a new room. The moved us, but the second room smelled pretty bad and the window screen was broken. There were cigarette butts outside the window on the patio area and giant dead roaches. The tv speakers were broken and the coffee maker didn?t work.

Very dirty!

Disliked: There was food inside the microwave when we arrived to our room. When we asked a person from front desk to remove it, they challenged there was really food there, asking over and over again if there was reallyfood inside the microwave. The halls of the property were extremely dirty, you could see papers and trash in general. The area where is located also seemed kind of unsafe, and in front of our room there was this huge sign with lights that stayed on the entire night. The staff in general was not very amicable, at least the ones in the front desk.

This a a great place...

Liked: I've stayed here a few times and always had a great experience. The rooms are cute and clean. The lounge in the lobby is comfortable and inviting.
Disliked: The parking situation isn't ideal, but I was able to arrive early enough to get a good spot.
