Amazing. Can't wait to return

Liked: The secluded serene location. The amazing staff. The complimentary breakfast. The Mountain View cabin. I can't say enough about how pleased we were to find this gem

Liked: This was my second stay at Blue Lake Ranch. The setting is idyllic overlooking some of the best views in this part of Colorado. I have a recent health issue and inadvertently reserved a second floor room with a deep tub/shower combo, which I cannot step over. The stairs were a challenge. At my age I should know better. Yet, I overcame the obstacles. My room was in the main house which has a wonderful history reflecting the grand decor. It is lovely. I was greeted with a letter, instead of a human at first, until I broke the silence. I guess that is residual from covid days. The next morning a scrumptious breakfast was served by a wonderul cook that I chatted with. This was not your ordinary travel breakfast, and I appreciated every bit of it. I will return one day, booking a first floor room!
Disliked: On the down side. The property is aging. I understand budgets. The brick on the balcony where the rails are anchored, of my room is breaking up. I couldn't sit outside on the balcony due to wasps (it is afterall in a wooded area). It is cool at nights, but I couldn't use the sliding door screen as it would not shut all the way.

Nice end to our vacation

Liked: Room was beautiful. Staff was very responsive to issues that came up.
Disliked: Too far from food. Small kitchen in the room but with only a microwave to cook.

We loved it very much...

Liked: Stayed at Cottage in the Woods, so lovely and comfortable, song birds all around, quietude and privacy.
Disliked: Could have used cloth kitchen towels and more cooking utensils

Good but grounds need to...

Liked: The breakfast was very good.
Disliked: We chose Blue Lake because we stayed many years ago and remember how peaceful it was. @ little disappointed this time around as the grounds need to be kept up more. The rooms need updating. There was @ terrible smell from the septic system when we entered the room. It finally disapated. Stone steps were broken going up to the room which was dangerous. Updating the beds is a must.

Exceptional

Lovely setting with comfortable quiet...

Liked: We were upgraded to a Mountain View casita which was very spacious and pretty and a fabulous view to wake up to.Breakfast was good and staff attentive to requests.
Disliked: We had some trouble with door lock to get in and to lock when we left but was possibly a battery issue.

Liked: Absolutely exceptional! Perfect place to end our fast paced vacation! RELAXING!
Disliked: Everything was beyond our expectations! (And we were not even able to stay for breakfast…also, we got there as flowers were getting ready to bloom…can only assume this would make our fantastic experience even better! Even though we can’t imagine it being better!
