Disliked: Moldy smell. Insects on the floor and even under a pillow.

Pleasant

Liked: The staff were lovely, couldn’t be more helpful. Gave us lots of bottled water on a hot day. The room was very clean. Felt safe there. Was good for an overnight stay.
Disliked: I didn’t dislike anything particularly. It is just a very old and tired hotel.

Liked: Not much
Disliked: The owner was very nosy. Toilet was already plugged on my first attempt to use the washroom. He then it instructed me to come get the plunger and plunge the toilet myself. And then tried to withhold my $100 deposit that I was never even informed about

Dated rooms, but clean.

Liked: The staff was great. Great greeting upon arrival and attentive to our needs. Location was great for us too. We expected a lower end feel and dated room, but were surprised by how clean it was.
Disliked: The room was dated and could use a face lift. There was also a strong smell of cleaning products and a bit of dampness in the air.

Dirty old and worn out

Liked: Very friendly staff, offered us cold water when we arrived. Orher than that, nothing
Disliked: The property needs some serious TLC. Dirty carpets, old yellowing bed linens, old lumpy mattress, unsafe electrical, old peeling paint, etc etc!
