Exceptional

Liked: Very nice place. They did an outstanding job renovating this property into a very nice place. The staff (every one of them) were super friendly and helpful. Cheers to the tiki bar! Apparently it’s a favorite for the locals too. We will definitely be coming back to stay here again.
Disliked: Tiki bar drinks were a bit pricey. I do get it that this is a waterfront bar and drinks get a premium price. Now, their happy hour (M-F 3:00-6:00) is great!

could’ve been better not for...

Liked: Location. Everybody was very nice at work there clean well kept. Beautiful pool nice restaurant.
Disliked: Reviews Stated the rooms are very small and the bathroom is very very small but even smaller than I thought possible. No fan in bathroom crappy window hard to open and wouldn’t stay open. The problem with the little window is the light shines through so you can’t hardly see your face in the mirror.

Liked: The location was right on the beach. The beach bar overlooked the ocean and the food and service were both awesome.
Disliked: It was what I expected. The room was on the small side but we didn't spend a lot of time in the room. We were there for the beach, pool and beach bar! Parking was also tight, but there is not a lot to be done about that due to the size of the property. I would advise people not to go there in a large truck or SUV

It's a quiet haven that...

Liked: The staff was very welcoming. I felt taken care of. The continental breakfast was nice. It was great to be able to get a cup of coffee first thing in the morning.
Disliked: I did not care for the mattress on my bed. It was.too soft. This is a personal preference. It's absolutely the only negative in a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this hotel.

Liked: The younger staff was super helpful and polite especially Hannah, Bradley, Ava, David and Krystal. The adult staff were rude to me and my guests on multiple occasions and were rude to the younger staff, Especially Robin, I've never, ever seen a grown woman be SO rude to the younger people who work WITH her and also the lady with the British accent. Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves as woman, as leaders and as humans. I'm embarrassed for you both. As a local to your area, especially your area, I would advise all the adult staff to be more kind, more helpful and polite. I don't think y'all are going to do well in the slow season when you're going to need the locals the most. I know I am certainly telling every single person I know not to visit your property, like I said before, we wouldn't normally visit this property because it's always been known to be run down and filled with undesirables. I will make sure to let everyone know nothing has changed. It's lipstick on a pig. I advise every young person that works there to quit and go find another job, it's busy season, there are plenty of places hiring and you shouldn't be abused or talked to like that by your leaders.
Disliked: This hotel is the definition of bait and switch. It has been slightly remodeled, but it is still the same ole dive that the locals have and will to continue to avoid especially at the price they charge and their older staff customer service. This motel is known to de a dump amongst the locals and will continue to be given the experience I had. I would not recommend this motel to anyone I know nor will I be returning. The rooms are extremely overpriced, parking is a nightmare, the "spa" is not located on the property, the food is low quality compared to the price. I enjoyed the staff in the kitchen it's not their fault that they are given low quality ingredients. I feel like which ever one of you adults up there bought this motel is over budget on the renovation and is therefore trying to squeeze every dime they can out of whoever stays there. I came to the beach to relax and was stressed my entire 24 hour stay. Robin was SO rude to not only me but also my sisters whom I brought for a relaxing girls trip. Of all the things we were, relaxed, was not one of them. Our rooms weren't ready until well after 3pm but Robin was sure as hell banging on my door, then walked in on me while I was nude at 10;30 AM, I reckon to begin "HER" check-out time. Then when I had to run across the street to buy a bag of ice because there is no ice machine that the guests are allowed to touch, my sisters were packing up our cars, Robin came back down to the room and stated to my sisters extremely rudely, "that check-out time is 11am". No joke, Robin, we've been to a motel before, my sisters stated that they were aware and just waiting on my return and assured her that our things were packed and removed from the rooms Robin then stated to my sisters, "It's 11:07!!!" Pipe down. you didn't have the rooms ready on Saturday until past standard time, what's the difference today? 1 out of 5 stars.

Our five day experience was...

Liked: Excellent experience. Staff are very friendly and courteous. The pool was crystal clear and refreshing. Having the restaurant so close to the sandy beach was delightful. Menu was limited and priceyRoom was small and there is no comfortable chair from which to watch TV.Overall experience was delightful.
Disliked: See above.

Once we parked, decided not...

Liked: Everything except tight parking when we arrived.
Disliked: Difficult to park with so many cars.
