Get the water pressure righted,...

Liked: Both Ian and Ann were great hosts The building and rooms wonderful
Disliked: Water pressure problems in the rooms It was explained to me that the water pressure supplied by the local water authority had been reduced to 2 barI realised a lot of the trouble was due to air in the system

Quirky. Great place to stay.

Liked: Friendly hosts. Good communication between booking and arrival. I loved my room with a four poster bed. Comfy, clean and welcoming. Lovely fresh shower room, plenty of hot water, lovely fresh towels.Full English breakfast was lush and value for money. Warm rooms and lovely touch...open fire at breakfast.
Disliked: Thought the free toiletries would have been better quality, went and bought our own.My son stayed in a suite and was not so keen. His bedroom had only lamps, no main light. His bathroom was upstairs and had a bath with a hand held shower hose. However, he had a brilliant night sleep, commented on how lovely and warm the place was , enjoyed his breakfast and said he would go back...but try another room.

Liked: the location was as expected as we knew it. However, I had forgotten the number of stairs which we managed easily 20 years ago! We had to ask for heating which was not available for us to manage in our room: the bathroom [wet room] floor remained wet and our towels were wet because there was no heating or change of towel. clean towels were provided when we asked. It is a lovely setting and it brought back a lot of memories, but for various reasons we would not stay there again as I'm afraid it did not reach any particular standard which made it easy for us to be there. We are agile 80 year olds and I guess I should have known better than to book a couple of nights in September when walking might be a problem, owing to weather, in such an historic building. A chapel, for instance, was spoken of, but not made available easily. I know it is a working farm, and understanding the difficulties. So, please forgive these comments! [you did ask]

fantastic

Liked: breakfast and location excellent
Disliked: It is a grade one listed 15 th century manor house so I realise nothing can be done but my wife and I have age related mobility issues and could not manage some of the steep stairs , however the host provided us with another room which was excellent . We had a fantastic stay.
