Beautiful rooms, great service

Liked: The rooms at the Blackbird seem really plush and new - they don't seem to have taken a lot of hammer by the general public like lots of London hotels, so the general vibe is nice smelling, clean and pleasant. Bed was comfy, and the breakfast and the dining area was nice and airy. Staff were very helpful when there was a snag with my room - I don't know her name but a tall brunette on duty was really kind and did everything she could to make my stay comfortable.
Disliked: The window in the room I was initially allocated was painted shut and wouldnt open. It was a really hot day in early August so I was longing for some fresh air. There was air con which I'm sure would have been fine but my preference is for the window open. I don't know her name but a tall brunette on duty was really kind and did everything she could to make my stay comfortable, making enquiries and moving me to the next door room which was vacant. She was really calm which is good when you've been travelling and you're tired. Thank you!! Bear in mind that as the hotel is kind of rooms above a pub, you don't get the sense of old-school hospitality you get at a more traditional hotel. Which is fair enough, everyone is busy working at the bar and the kitchen at the Blackbird, but perhaps not for you if you like more of a fuss!

Liked: Received a warm and informative welcome. Room was well appointed. Cute little blackbirds in the decor. Really nice breakfast with a great Americano.
Disliked: Didn't like the heavy door between bedroom and bathroom. Would have appreciated a door stop to keep it open. Slippers would be nice too.

Liked: Great location, nice bar and restaurant with great dinner options, kind staff, nice room. I really liked it. It exactly looks like on the pictures.
Disliked: It was all great. For me the breakfast wasn’t as good as some reviews stated, but it was OK.
