Black Canyon Motel

Dingy place you don't really...

Liked: The area was perfect for black canyon, although it was closed at the time of our visit. The room access was quick and easy.
Disliked: Terrible breakfast, even for a cheap hotel. People smoking pot outside our room. Trash everywhere in the parking lot. Not a good experience.

Disliked: We came for breakfast at 8:40 and there was no food left. The fan did not work in the bathroom.

Disliked: No hot tub as advertised. Breakfast was very meager. No silverware, only juice, coffee, milk, butter, grape jelly, apples. There was cereal but nothing to put it in and no spoons.

Exceptional

Liked: Everything was exceptional staff room views happy hour .

Bad

Disliked: The air conditioner was so loud it literally kept us awake. We had to shut it off and sweated the remainder of the night. Not to mention, that either the condenser or fan in the refrigerator was bad and making noise. Couldn't unplug it because of medications. This motel should be considered thieves for stealing our money and putting us through the most horrendous night of our lives. Not to mention the floors were so dirty our feet were completely black after walking barefoot on them8

Liked: The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly
Disliked: I paid an extra $60 booking online to have a 400 square foot room with a separate bedroom so I can put my 4 year old to sleep. I got checked in and went to my room to find a 200 square foot room with no extra bedroom. I went back to the office only to be informed that they do not even have a room like that. Never got the extra 60 I spent for an extra bedroom back and then went to book the room for another night on Monday and was told the price went up another $60. They knew we were evacuated from our home due to a wildfire nearby they're taking advantage of these people and the firefighters coming from all over the place to risk their lives to put this fire out
