Liked: It’s a beautiful building in a lovely location - classic boutique hotel
Disliked: Rooms were not as described and expensive - no door on en-suite and opposite a full length window overlooking main road. Air conditioning great but noisy - no walk in shower it was an over bath showerFriends room had v low ceiling and was v small but same price as our doubleWe had a light lunch in the garden and we were relaxing and chatting but asked to move to the balcony so someone else could come to the table to smoke a cigar - there were plenty of other spaces but we sensed that the other guests were being given prefential treatment Small details - no milk in room to make tea or coffee - signs alongside most items With price of using or taking them - just gave a feeling of not being welcomedSuch a shame as could be so lovely

Beautiful hotel with welcoming staff.

Liked: Beautiful hotel by Thames. Comfy bed and river room had a great view. Wonderful staff who were friendly and accommodating.
Disliked: For price I consider breakfast should be included .

Wonderful ambience and meals

Liked: Breakfast and all meals experienced were excellent in terms of taste and service
Disliked: We would have liked to have fewer steps to climb as we’re in our 70s and 80s

Disliked: Small back bedroom and confusing navigation.

Liked: Right next to the river so great for walking along into Richmond
Disliked: Parking limited and if you didn’t get a spot you would have to park back in Richmond Restaurant pricey and limited unless you were a vegetarian

Disappointing

Liked: We liked the location and the grounds
Disliked: We had been looking forward to having some afternoon drinks in the garden overlooking the river. When we got there we was told that there was a wedding and was not allowed to go in the garden. We saw the balcony and thought that we would have our drink out there instead as it was a lovely evening but after 5 minutes we was asked to come back inside. It wouldn’t have been too much of a problem if we had been told prior to our visit. The receptionist that checked us in was very polite but a couple of others not so polite.Overall we was very disappointed and ended up spending very little time at the hotel considering we had been looking forward to being there all evening.
