Disappointing

Liked: The copper bath tub, but even the river view is not worth with a view, is disappointing as the windows steams up and condenses as there is not double glazing. They also don’t give any products to use in the bath,
Disliked: We booked 2 rooms for our one night stay following our son’s wedding in London on the day. Everything from the check-in, service, extortianately priced extras and the hugely expensive breakfast, to the check-out and service at the reception desk was disappointing. I phoned pre-stay to mention that it would be my son’s wedding night and whether they could arrange a special welcome as they will be tired and willonly book in around 20:00. They did - chocolates in the room and non-alcoholic sparkly fruit tea (which I stupidly thought would be in the house) but it was charged at £85! This after paying almost £400 for a substandard and dirty ‘superior room’ where there were no offer to take up the luggage up, 3 flights of very steep and wobbly stairs. The breakfast in the morning was substandard too and I asked for 2 x filter coffee refills (had the continental) with the check out bill charging for each coffee £5.50! When it came to checkout we needed to remind them to take off one of the rooms that was prepaid and then they still which the system didn’t pick up.The night before the wedding we stayed in the pan pacific in the city which was near the wedding venue and the bill including an excellent breakfast with ample choice came to less than our bill at Bingham’s. We’ve stayed here before and thought it would be a treat for our newly wed did children but it was everything but what we expected. We will NEVER stay here again. The hotel is obviously struggling. The website is great but it is misleading in terms of what you will get. It was very very very disappointing and I would really think twice if am you think the river view and a copper bath with substandard service from all distaff is enough to make your stay worth your while. There are many other hotels in Richmond where you will have a better experience.

Liked: The staff always go the extra mile at The Bingham. They’re welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. It’s just a lovely place to be.
