Expensive and disappointing experience -...

Liked: Character of the building and ample car parking. Plentiful cooked breakfast and Molton Brown toiletries, from wall dispensers, were a bonus.
Disliked: This hotel was a disappointing experience for all our party. Quality of furnishings and location of bedrooms were not commensurate with the price paid and you felt overall undervalued as a guest. Reception argued with one of our party on the quality of her room and missing features but would not offer any solution. Dinner menu was very limited and super expensive - disincentive to eat on site. Unsightly cooler leak meant carpets outside restaurant were flooded and covered in towels. Rooms assigned were at the very back of the hotel and difficult to access. Steepness of narrow stairs to first floor were impossible to safely use whilst carrying a suitcase. Breakfast layout is complicated across multiple rooms and meagre amounts of butter and milk left on the breakfast tables. The whole experience was underwhelming in what was meant to be a highlight reunion for a group of friends.
