Lovely setting, clean room but...

Liked: Room was clean and the decor was nice, bathroom was very spacious and well stocked, bed was confortable
Disliked: Room was adequate but a little small, the angle of the low ceiling meant I had to be careful moving around so as not to bang my head on the corners, especially in the dark - only one bottle of water between two people,We could clearly hear the conversation in the next room

A lovely stay in a...

Liked: The room had a fabulous view over the topiary garden and was nice and cool thanks to the effective air conditioning. The breakfast was copious and very good, with a great buffet. The waiting staff all looked very smart in their attractive uniforms! The spa and swimming pool are lovely, and the pool is large.

Nice and comfortable. Staff were...

Liked: Beautiful building and grounds.
Disliked: The room. I booked a superior barn room but it wasn’t very ‘superior’. I can’t see what I paid extra for.

Beautiful location

Liked: Lovely location away from noise and roads. This was our second stay here. We had such a great time the first time, we thought we would return. The staff are excellent, polite and always have a smile when greeting guests.
Disliked: Plagued by flies in the restaurant. Breakfast buffet room was swarming with flies! Although most of the food was covered, the cheeses were not covered properly and many flies were feasting on the cheese! There was crusty bread in a basket which wasn't covered. The room was very nice but there were many stains on the carpet and quite a few spiders in the room, wardrobe and bathroom. The bathroom floor needs a good clean. The bedroom itself needed a good vacuuming especially so around the bed, under the bedside tables etc as the carpet was very dusty. The bedside table lamp bases were extremely dusty too. The waste bin in the room had not been emptied from the previous occupant. There were a couple of flies in there as there was thrown away food and wrappers.

Disliked: Loved it all.
