Comfortable and convenient.

Liked: This is an old fashioned motel. If you’re not looking for luxury I recommend it. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The people are very helpful. It had everything we wanted.

Liked: We travel to Campbell River often and have stayed at numerous motels but the Big Rock is our favourite. Current owners are top- notch keeping the place in good shape and helping when they can!

Clean, safe and great location.

Liked: Location right on the water was gorgeous. The state of the room was fine. It was not fancy but clean and felt safe. After quiet hours, everything was dead silent and easy to fall asleep.
Disliked: Sound does travel quite easily in the hotel so anyone above or beside us, we could hear. But no one was noisy past 10-11pm, so we could sleep soundly.

Liked: Check in very good. Staff very nice. Room is clean and spacious. Affordable rate. Lovely view of the ocean. Close to downtown.
Disliked: Bed was terrible. It snowed overnight while we were there. Our room was on the 2nd floor. Stairs are outside. They were not cleaned when we left at 8 am. It was very treacherous.
