Business trip, overnight stay
Liked: The original room allocated was right above the noisy kitchen fans but Reception changed the room immediately. Breakfast was very good.
Disliked: I was going to stay here for a previous visit when my wife and dog were travelling with me - but the hotel isn't dog friendly so we booked elsewhere. It was a shame because this hotel was so much nicer than the one we went to.

Exceptional
Liked: Location: The atmosphere was amazing. The staff was so helpful and friendly. It's set in a country park which is absolutely beautiful. The roosm are spotless and comfortable. Live that they have different royal names for each room.
Disliked: You will need a car or taxi to get to it. Has it's in the middle of a country park. You can get public transport to halfway, but it's a good 20-minute walk. So the best option is a car or taxi.

Poor
Liked: The decor and most of the staff were friendly
Disliked: The rude staff that decided to wake me up having a conversation , not quietly either, right outside our door for about ten minutes until I told them to take it elsewhere. I complained to reception and all she did was say sorry! I booked this hotel as I was at an event and would be up late and needed to get decent rest before a long drive home!

Lovely heritage hotel!
Liked: I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was immediately captivated by its distinctive architectural character. The building is a true gem, with a historical charm rarely found in modern accommodations. Walking through the property felt like stepping back in time, and I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the story behind its design. The hotel's restaurant served excellent fish and chips that were absolutely delicious. The property also offered ample on-site parking, which was very convenient. The bed was comfortable and I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the bathrooms and facilities on offer, which greatly enhanced my comfort during the stay. The hotel provided thoughtful touches that made a difference, including generous supplies of tea and coffee, canned water, and even biscuits in the room. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, always eager to assist with warm smiles.
Disliked: While I noticed some signs of age, such as worn carpeting and faded paint with minor scuffs, most of these details actually added to the authentic, lived-in character of the place.

A good priced hotel with...
Liked: We liked the old grandeur of the building abd the vegetarian full breakfast was very good
Disliked: It was a litle shabby in places and could maybe do with a little bit of redecoration but in keeping with the age of the property
