I was visiting family and...

Liked: So the location was great and having a swimming pool was lovely. The room was nicely decorated. The bedding and towel quality was better than most. The breakfast provided met expectations
Disliked: The bathroom, the shower access was only for wafer thin people and very difficult if you weren’t flexible enough to pick up your toiletries from the floor. The shower itself, whilst powerful enough, was old and not secure to the wall and felt that it was about to come apart. The sink was very low and due to the shelf above it was difficult to bend under to wash your face and clean your teeth. It had only been considered of use for handwashing.The hairdryer was ancient or at least appeared so. Its plastic was massively discoloured and I couldn’t see evidence of PAT testing which was worrying. For the money I expected a reasonable sized shower and modern appliances.The staff at breakfast were efficient but not great at asking if you wanted anything, other than an initial drinks enquiry. The swimming pool needed a changing area, especially as it was covered by cameras there was no where private. The general communal areas were clean but tired and shabby with carpet held together by tape in places. There just needed a little investment to make these areas somewhere you might want to spend time.

Liked: Location right on the sea front, got to love a sea view. Room spacious and comfortable for 3. Enjoyed the pool too.
Disliked: Nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom. Pool changing room could do with a refresh.

Disliked: The pool area needs an open window to outside for good ventilation to fresh air. The pool needed scrubbing as the water level was causing green growth on the sidesThe roof needs washing above the pool for mould growth and re painting the ceiling ! The changing rooms need updating.Otherwise it was very pleasant

Seafront hotel, good value

Liked: The staff were accommodating and dealt with a couple of issues swiftly and to our satisfaction. We upgraded our room to a superior 4 poster bed room overlooking the sea. This made the break much better.
Disliked: The first room we selected was not at all standard we liked. It was resolved well, so mo harm done.
