Passable

Liked: Staff was friendly, room was clean, plenty of parking.
Disliked: Elevator in weird location, but after initial front desk check in you could enter through side door which made it more convenient. Beds were hard. Bathroom configuration tight, low lighting for shower.

Liked: Reservations were fine. Property was clean. Breakfast was OK.
Disliked: This is where the problem came in. I woke up around 2 o’clock in the morning scratching come to find out. It was bugs in my bed. I had gotten bit on the elbow and then on my neck couldn’t sleep after that then I see the bug crawling up. My nightgown lay back down, start scratching on my other arm. Another bug beat me all the way up the right arm left a message at the front desk with my number and the manager was supposed to call me never called. That was the very disappointing. That’s why I’m just responding waiting on a callWill not be staying there anymore

DO NOT Recommend

Disliked: We checked into Best Western Williamsburg Historic District on Sunday July 6th. We were supposed to check in at 4:00 PM that day. We had asked for early check in that day, but after driving 6 hours we were told we would have to pay for an extra day even though check in was the same day. We were so tired we paid the extra day just to get somewhere to rest. When we got to the room it smelled musty and was filthy. Dust, grime and cobwebs were everywhere. The bed covers were stained and smelled. The commode had what I assumed was feces on it. I hurriedly cleaned everything with bleach cleaner and attempted to rest. The pool area and gym was unkept and both had strong order of urine. The next day Monday July 7th when we came back to hotel from shopping a very strong chemical order was present all over the hotel. It was to the point people were having to go outside and sit. We stood it as long as we could and at 9:00 PM checked out of Best Western Williamsburg Historic District and went to another hotel for the remainder of our 5 days. I asked for my money to be refunded and was refused "because no one else thought it bad enough to leave". On Friday July 11th I received a phone call from Best Western Williamsburg Historic District asking me if I was going to leave the 5 day stay on my card or pay cash. Mind you we checked out on the 7th. So we hadn't been there for three days. I told them we had checked out on the 7th...I had been in the hospital since the 8th and didn't owe them anything. The female from Best Western Williamsburg Historic District called me "a damn liar " and threatened to have me arrested if I wasn't at front desk in five minutes. I got discharged from hospital went to Best Western Williamsburg Historic District and tried to straighten it out. I was not arrested but my card was charged for five days and we only spent one. I DO NOT recommend this hotel at all!!!!
