Overall great break away

Liked: location was perfect able to access the town easily Breakfast was very good and sufficient choice availableOutside terrace great for afternoon and evening drinksParking available
Disliked: Not really the hotels fault - however we stayed during a heat wave and room very hot and stuffy as the windows were not able to open wide as security catches on themWe did have a fan which helped

Liked: Staff were excellent in all positions ie restaurant, reception cleaning. The restaurant food was very good indeed and far better with the service we got, especially in relation to catering with my wife's allergy problems, compared to elsewhere in Iron bridge
Disliked: air conditioning in all rooms.

A good place to stay...

Liked: It is situated in gardens which extent to a park down to the river. The room and bathroom were spacious. A lovely “grand” house with peaceful atmosphere. Dinner in the restaurant was very tasty and we enjoyed it. The portions were fine for us but a younger person would have found them small.
Disliked: Being an older house, the stairs to the third floor with many fire doors which when you have luggage are difficult. I know nothing can be done or the house would loose some of the charm. Breakfast was disappointing. The sausages weren’t good and I noticed other people left them too. Had to ask for fruit, no fruit yogurts left or pastries for an 8.00 breakfast.

Liked: Everything. . .nice furniture . Everything looking well cared for. Clean. Loved the unique tiles and the history of the hotel with ref to the beautiful tiles.Great staff all across hotel.. Great food and bar too. Beautiful gardens/park nearby...
Disliked: Nothing to dislike

Liked: Excellent food and service in the restaurant for dinner.
Disliked: Room and bathroom both tired. Have had better hotel breakfasts.
