Liked: The location was ideal. Staff friendly couldn't really have a drink at the bar ... as we didn't have lemonade or cider ... but we didn't stay in a hotel that long as we were attending a garden party. But the bar was closed when we returned
Disliked: The room was at the front of the hotel windows wide open due to the heat. Very warm heard the ongoing traffic all night... I also had to clean the plug in the shower it was full of hair

Full of character, friendly staff....

Liked: The hotel is located on the high street and it is a listed building, which is beautiful. Good parking facilities at the rear of the hotel. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. It was 32'C when I went so I asked for a fan and the lady at reception gave me a fan. Bed was clean and comfortable. I bought a diet coke from the bar but there were none in the bar fridge so the lady had to give me a glass full of ice to go with my drink.
Disliked: The rooms are not double glazed and therefore a lot of noise from the road comes into the room. My door didn't shut properly so I had to put the chain across to feel secure. The shower was ok, pressure could have been better and ran hot and cold. No water in the room. No iron in the room.

Disliked: Noise, lack of cleanliness, poor maintenance in bathrooms, adjoining rooms were noisy, doors squeezed, stairs and floors creaked, poor airflow for a hotel with no a/c,

Rose & Crown Tonbridge

Liked: Close walk to from the railway station. And the nightlife.
Disliked: Hotel reception attempted to charge me when I had already paid. Showed proof of purchase & confirmation of booking. I also had a small leak in the bathroom & a large amount of creaking floor boards. That may have disturbed customers below my room.?

A traditional town pub, but...

Liked: Very central, good parking, comfy bed.
Disliked: The bathroom was very poor. The shower temperature was hard to regulate and the flow was really weak. The toilet was also difficult to flush. Took two or three attempts every time.
